February 2002

The February ride was to Burrendong Dam and Wellington Caves. And as has been the case for the last few months we saw about 20 bikes head off in fairly warm conditions.

Our track out of Bathurst was up the Orange road and across to Millthorpe, before turning back towards Orange and out the Parkes road. Some bike trouble for Jan and a couple of near wrong turns didn't stop us from eventually making it to Manildra where the usual morning tea stop and chin wag was supposed to take place. Unfortunately the cafe was closed in Manildra so we continued on to Molong where we stopped at the Pickled Pepper.

Lunch stop was at Wellington Caves Kiosk after some nice riding through Stuart Town.

The group separated after lunch for people make their own way home, some through Wellington and Yeoval, some back via Stuart Town and others the direct route to Orange then Bathurst.
